Colosseo Panorama is a guesthouse in the historic center of Rome near the Colosseum, about 450 meters away from it and within walking distance from main monuments, archaeological sites and historical attractions of the city such as the Domus Aurea and the Imperial Forums.
This area is part of Rione Monti, one of the most ancient and fascinating districts of the city, characterized by a surprising richness of churches and period buildings; still today are present craftsmen and merchants scattered around the nice narrow streets of the district that recall to the mind the lost atmospheres of the city in 19th century.
For those who love gastronomy and nightlife the area offers in the neighborhood a huge range of restaurants, “trattoria”, disco and pubs able to match the tastes of everybody.
For people who after a day around the city would desire just a little bit of relax, or doing some jogging, Parco di Colle Oppio (approx 100 mt) and Parco Ninfeo Nerone (approx 400 mt) might represent a good choice with their nice gardens dipped in ancient Rome ruins.
HOW TO REACH US
FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT:
• By Taxi – Approx. 45 minutes (depending of traffic). There is a fixed fare of 48 € from the airport to all destinations in the city center. Ask in advance to the taxi driver for the fixed fare otherwise they will use taximeter and will be much more expensive;
• By Train – Approx. 35 minutes. You can take the train “Leonardo Express” from Fiumicino Airport to Termini Railway Station (14 €/person one way). Departures from the Airport every 30 minutes. At Termini Station you can take the Underground “Blue Line” for only 2 stops up to “Colosseo Station”. Ticket price is 1.5 €/person. From Colosseo Station the hotel is only 3 minutes walking;
• By Bus – shuttle bus from Fiumicino Airport to Termini Railway Station (this is cheaper but it can be subject to traffic). The bus ticket costs 5€/person one way if you buy it online. You can check on www.terravision.eu. From Termini Station you can take the Underground “Blue Line” up to “Colosseo Station” (2 stops). Ticket price is 1.5 €/person. From Colosseo Station the hotel is only 3 minutes walking (approx. 300 meters)
FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT:
• By Taxi – Approx. 30 minutes (depending of traffic). There is a fixed fareof 30 € from the airport to all destinations in the city center. You have to take a regular taxi (white car with the signage «Taxi» on the top). Ask in advance to the taxi driver for the fixed fare otherwise they will use taximeter and will be much more expensive;
• By Bus – shuttle bus from Ciampino Airport to Termini Railway Station (this is cheaper but it can be subject to traffic). The bus ticket costs 4€/person one way if you buy it online. You can have a look at www.terravision.eu. From Termini Station you can take the Underground “Blue Line” up to “Colosseo Station” (2 stops). Ticket price is 1.5 €/person.
